As with designing other buildings, designing a farmhouse can actually be more mirthful. Conceptualized on contemporary idiom, the Sultanpur Farmhouse is perfectly planned as per the client’s requirements. The façade is attractively patterned with large sized windows. Delivering dwellers the ecstatic feeling of contemporary lifestyle, even the landscaped area is proposed in accordance to English Gardens. With gazebo enclosed in the midst of palm and pine trees, the garden does justice to its theme.

The two blocks of the building are set on either sides of a covered courtyard with a fish pond. It was conceived as a “Green Building, and designed to reduce heat gain and increase the penetration of natural day light into the work areas to minimize the use of artificial lighting.
A house for professionals (family of Doctors) would be different and it was. The needs, the expressions and the results were different from the houses that we had done earlier.

This house was designed around two connecting courts, the public and the private. Strong sense of family and community were the key components governing the design. Each of the eight bedrooms open in to a family courtyard and each of the public spaces, open into a public courtyard.

The competition for teacher training institute was launched by Government of Haryana in 2012. Shortlisted amongst the top 3 entries, our participation was highly appreciated. The overall concept of designing revolved around the climatic factors, as a result of which, the design was primarily focused upon developing courtyards which could create the desired micro climate. The façade is mostly rectilinear and cubic form stating the campus contemporary, yet Indian which is achieved through textures and colors. Throughout the scheme, efforts have been made to achieve a sustainable design.

This was a competition entry for ISBT design for Jodhpur city, which was launched by Government of Rajasthan in 2012.Our participation was highly appreciated. The overall concept of designing revolved around the climatic factors, as a result of which, the design was primarily focused on submerging the building with earth, which could help in creating the desired temprature inside the building.
White waters cafe
Client: RSV Hospitality pvt.

Amidst the concrete blocks of Connaught place is admirably suited “White Waters Café” with an attractive white and aqua color scheme. Ramped up with the blinds being down, the café has an amazing underwater ambience. Equipped with two private dining areas, there is also an open terrace mostly operational in fine weather. The exquisite terrace offers sprawling views of Connaught Place while the covered area offers an ideal setting for that special rendezvous. The 20 feet high cascade situated in the interiors is attention grabbing.
This project was a collaboration between INTACH and Axiom India. The design explores the fusion of a traditional material (sand stone) with stainless steel and latest printing techniques to produce a set of signage that without being loud, announce their presence and quietly do their work(inform the visitors). They convey the state of the country (transforming traditional thoughts in to modern idioms).
This was a competition entry where we were judged the runners up. The site was located near one of the largest unauthorized colonies in the National Capital Region of Delhi. The spontaneity that existed in the un-planned colony was very strong and interesting, thus carried in to our approach to design. This deconstructive approach to design lead to the unique site planning. Each space was a result of randomly chosen triangles that related to each other in a most interesting manner. The spaces between spaces became important and started dictating the entire planning of the Haat, thus creating an experience that was alien yet approachable.
