The requirement of the client was to have a column free space of 35m(115’)X96m(315’) with a clear height of 8m(26’). They also wanted an iconic building to serve as a landmark on the Rohtak Road and reduce the conventional cost of such a span. It took nearly three months of intense interaction between the Engineers and the Architects to come up with the solution. A cable stay structure that reduces the use of steel by 27% and thereby decreases the overall cost by almost 16%.
